Abstract :

While an era of modern training Technologies in education is being used, it is obvious that some kind of “classical lesson materials” preserve their importance all the time. Besides this, it’s true that there is not standard for training materials among the schools. Obtaining these materials can sometimes be difficult, time-consuming and expensive. In situations like this, some of the required tools can be prepared by the geography teachers or teachers can guide the students to prepare these.Also in Geography Lesson Training Program (2005), geography teachers are expected to design and develop some of the materials they are going to use in their lessons. In this subject Training Technologies and Material Designing lesson provides the geography teachers the opportunity to develop various lesson materials by using the nature, environment and waste items. It is believed that the material development progress will provide the makers an opportunity to learn by experiencing, while attracting the students’ into the lesson because of their own designed materials.The aim of this study is to guide the geography teachers and the students to design and develop their own materials. This is why, this study focuses on the materials samples and their preparation, that was designed and developed in the scope of the Training Technologies and Material Design lesson of the Geography Training in Atatürk University, Kazım Karabekir Faculty of Education. The study aims to contribute to Geography Lesson Training Program (2005)
