A Transhumance Field in Western Blak Sea of which Importance Gradually Increases in Terms Of Recreation: Uluyayla
Abstract :
Uluyayla which is located in western side of Kure Mountains in Western Black Sea, in southeastern border of Bartin province and Northwestern border of Karabuk province is one of the important transhumance fields. In the past, the transhumance in Uluyayla completely depended on grazing but today it was affected by the change that was experienced by the other transhumance fields in our country. While the transhumance that depends on grazing in Uluyayla has been gradually decreasing, recreational transhumance and transhumance tourism have gained importance. However, because of the change in man-nature interaction in favour of man, some problems occurred. This paper includes the present condition of Uluyayla, its potential, problems and planning suggestions.
