Abstract :
When the interests and the researches of human is considered, there occurs two basic terms. Those are science and art. Both art and science can be preferred to other one at certain times. Throughout the history, in many conditions the term of art became the priority for humankind.. One of the most important people who have the common values of science and art is Leonardo da Vinci. Master Vinci is a scientist as much as he is an artist and he is an artist as much as he is a scientist. Mostly, when science is considered, it can be thought of a term which doesn t evoke art at first sight. Because, there are mostly different points of art and science according to each other. Although they set out together in many subjects, they also have different ways and they can become inconsistent. Art education is important meeting points of art and science. Art training doesn t only train artists. In other words, the main purpose of art training in primary and secondary schools is not just to train artists. In this manner, art training should be comprehended as a field that consists both art and science. And it should be showed to the students in that way. It is the task of art trainers to tell that art training consists a scientific discipline at the same time, it can raise individuals who can have both scientist and artist personalities and it is a more than every time need that both disciplines should be learned together
