Distribution of phytoplankton species in İzmir Bay for 15 years and its comparative statistical analysis
Abstract :
Quantity of one-celled phytoplanktonic species collected seasonally in selected sample stations in Ġzmir Bay species for last 15 years and gathered data has summerized with statistical perspectives comparatively in this study. Thus, some toxic and non-toxic species composition and their distribution in this region and the recent state of the bay were investigated. Total count of the species are 253 and belongs to Dinophyceae, Chrysohyceae, Dictyochophyceae, Euglenophyceae, Prasinophyceae and Raphidophyceae classes and Bacillariophyta divisio. Determined dominant group during this period was Bacillariophyta in this region.
