Abstract :
Pulmonary blastoma (PB) has both malignant mesenchymal stroma and an epithelial component. Two cases of PB are presented. The first case had ARB positive sputum samples with a progresive right upper lung mass in thorax computed tomography (TxCT), despite medical therapy. The frozen section result was adenocarcinoma. Lobectomy was performed. The pathological result was PB. The second case had a 3.5 cm right upper lung mass in TxCT with a 7.8 SUV max in fluorodeoxyglucose-positron emission tomography/computed tomography (FDG-PET/CT). The frozen section result was adenocarcinoma. A lobectomy was performed. The pathological result was PB. A surgical resection is the only curative option for PB. Both cases are in the postoperative first year without any tumor recurrence.
