Abstract
Teratomas are defined as true neoplasms composed of multiple tissues foreign to the part in which they arise. Head and neck teratomas are rare and they account for less than 2% of all congenital teratomas. Congenital nasopharyngeal teratoma is extremely rare and its prognosis is excellent with appropriate surgery. In this case report, a congenital nasopharyngeal teratoma associated with cleft palate is presented and discussed in the light of pertinent literature.
