THE EXAMINATION OF RELATION BETWEEN JOB SATISFACTION AND ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT: A PRACTICE IN TEXTILE INDUSTRY
Abstract :
Job satisfaction of employees plays a crucial role in maintaining organizational commitment. A research among textile workers has been conducted to determine the relationship between job satisfaction level and organizational commitment level. Besides, the relationship between the variables in question and socio- demographic variables has been studied. Questionnaire technique has been used for the study. The data obtained have been evaluated by using factor analysis, reliability analysis, t test, ANOVA, correlation and multiple regression analysis methods. Through the study, we have obtained the result that job satisfaction factors of employees increase their organizational commitment. The study shows that the level of organizational commitment is high for the items related to the job itself, the very first factor of job satisfaction while the level of job satisfaction is medium for the other factors of job satisfaction. The study shows that textile employees have explained their organizational commitment meaningful as the first factor in the first place and the second in the second place and so on. While there is no meaningful relationship between demographic variables and job satisfaction dimensions, we have found out that, there is a meaningful relationship between gender, education and the work time at the current organization and organizational commitment. Moreover, positive and meaningful relationships within the factors of job satisfaction and between job satisfaction factors and organizational commitment have been observed.
