Abstract
The goal of this research is to explore the relationship between occupational commitment and burnout syndrome in primary school teachers. For this goal we questionaired 275 primary school teacher in Osmaniye province in 2013 educational year. As a result of research, we found that occupational commitment have negative correlations with dimensions of all burnout syndrome. However, occupational commitment changes by teachers’ gender and according to choosing occupation willingly or unwillingly. Dimensions of burnout syndrome emotional exhaustion and depersonalization were also changed by teachers’ preferance occupation willingly or unwillingly.
