Abstract :
Pre-service teachers have already had several attitudes towards teaching and classroom management. In that case, it is certain that there will be a gap between classroom management course and teachers’ attitudes. Therefore, lecturer should fulfill this gap. The aim of this study is firstly, to determine pre-service teachers’ perspectives on their ideal teachers and to investigate how these perspectives reflect discipline models taught in classroom management course. The study is conducted with 139 (98 girls and 41 boys) last year pre-service teachers in 2015-16 winter semester. Narrative analysis has been conducted for the written texts. The obtained results have showed that while “choice theory” is the most featured discipline model while “behaviorist model” is the least.
