Examination Of Burnout And Resilience In Pedagogy Formation Students
Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to examine burnout and resilience according to some variables. The study is carried out on student of pedagogy formation program in Adıyaman University. The study group consisted of 329 (155 male: 174 female, age=27.7; Sd=5.4; ranj, 20-43). The data was collected through the a personal information form designed by the researchers, Resiliency Scale developed by Gürgân (2006), the short version of the Burnout Inventory developed Pines (2005) and adapted by Tümkaya, Çam and Çavuşoğlu (2009). Statistical Package for the Social Sciences SPSS 15.0 software was used for the statistical analysis of the data. In order to analyze the Pearson Correlation Coefficient, One way MANOVA and Tukey HSD analysis method was employed. According to findings, negatively significant correlation was found between burnout and resilience. According to gender, it is not observed a significant difference for the resilience and burnout. The findings of the present study were discussed in the light of the related literature.
