Abstract :
When we look at the past of mankind we can see that one of the most important concepts is that of space. The relationship established by human space is either influenced by space or influences space through making sense of it. If a person in a place feels closer to the being of love, religious excitement and enthusiasm become more prominent, then that place is seen as being different from other places. At the foundation of the practice of visiting tombs, which exist as a religious practice in all religions, having similar characteristics, there is a great sense of searching for sanctity and the feeling of waiting for help from the entombed. These sanctified places bring psychological relief and give importance to their geographical location. In this respect, the reasons given for the visits made by many people to Bilecik, to the tomb-turbé of Sheikh Edebali, Ertuğrul Gazi and Dursun Fakih, have been studied under the following sections: the general characteristics of the visitors, behaviors during visits, knowledge and behavior after their visit, their religious lives and their moods as reasons for these tomb visits and their effects upon the individual visitor, and the tomb-human relationship within the context of the Bilecik tomb-turbé. A Chi-square test was used for the questionnaire, observation and interview technique, comparison and relationship analysis from the data gathering means and techniques that are employed in Religion Psychology. The finds made are evaluated with a specific plan and the results determined are given in this paper.
