The effect of laparoscopic ovarian multineedle intervention (LOMNI) method on hirsutism, menstruation cycle and blood hormon levels in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome

Polycystic ovary syndrome affects about 3- 4 % of the total women population in active reproductive period and this syndrome is also present in 70 % of people with hirsutism complaint. Laparoscopic ovarian drilling method is still widely in use for years in polycystic ovary syndrome treatment and also promises for the future. However post operative adhesion formation has been observed in 85 % of patients as a potential complication. In this study, we present the preliminary results of a new laparoscopic tool which has been specially designed by us. Anovulatory patients with policystic ovary syndrome can be treated with less trauma and post operative adhesion complication with this new method, in which the electricity is not used. In the present study, we aimed to evaluate the hormonal changes and other reflections of these changes like hirsutism and menstrual cycle disorders in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome.
