Abstract :

To receive cancer diagnosis brings future-related ambiguity along with it, whereas chemotherapy adds new fears due to side effects. A number of patients use Complementary Alternative Medicine (CAM) to increase the spiritual support, quality of life and survival after cancer diagnose and against symptoms and side effects of cancer therapies. CAM usage rates are increasing in patients who receive conventional treatment whereas many of the health care providers do not have any information about the use of CAM. Is important to take a role health professional in determining use of alternative therapy in patients. In addition, health professionals the evaluation of CAM, health care system, coordination, information related to the increasing use of CAM, such as determining the user about the cultural and gender differences have important responsibilities. This article has been compiled that is about the alternative therapies used for cancer treatment side effects in order to reflect an overall assessment.
