Heterotopic Pancreas In Jejunum; A Case Report
Abstract :
Heterotopic pancreas is identified as the existance of well developed pancreatic tissue in abnormal anatomical localization. Stomach and duodenum are the most common sites of localization. Jejunum is a rare localization for heterotopic pancreas and its diameter is usually small in this localization. Heterotopic pancreas is usually asymptomatic and it is generally incidentally found. In this case report we are presenting a heterotopic pancreas in jejunum, which is found incidentally in an operation performed for pylor stenosis complication thought to be developed due to duodenal ulcer.
