Abstract :
Popliteal artery aneurysm is a rare disease, but account of 70% peripheral arterial aneurysms The diagnosis of popliteal artery aneurysm is not straightforward due to its asymtomatic and insidious clinical course. herefore, it is recognized as the silent killer of the leg circulation. The most common and serious complication is acute limb ischemia secondary to distal embolization or thrombosis of aneurysm. In general, the results of the surgery are worse in patients requiring emergency surgery than in patients who underwent elective surgery. In this case report, we present a case of acute extremity ischemia as a result of the popliteal artery aneurysm who underwent emergent saphenous vein graft bypass
