A rare skin lesion in childhood: scrophuloderma
Abstract :
Extrapulmonary involvement of tuberculosis disease is not uncommon and one of the affected organ is the skin. Scrofuloderma is a reinfection of tuberculosis that metastasize to skin from a focus like bone, joint and lymphadenitis by neighbourliness way or from a primer focus by hematogenous way. Scrofuloderma, a rare form of tuberculosis, should be kept in mind in the differential diagnosis of chronic skin lesions so in this case report, 10-year-old female patient with a purulent, ulcerated lesion in her neck, diagnosed as Scrofuloderma was presented.
