Extraadrenal paraganglioma: Case report
Abstract :
Paragangliomas, also named as ‘carotis body tumors, glomus tumors, chemodectoma and reseptoma’ are rarely seen, and slowly progressive neuroendocrine tumors.. The regions that paragangliomas are usually located are;carotis communis artery bifurcation, juguler foramen, aortic arch and retroperitoneum. These tumors, which have generally benign characteristics, can Show malign differentiation. In this paper, we aimed to present a case of retroperitoneal paraganglioma, which located nearby aorta and vena cava.
