Abstract :
In this study, After Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.), oriantal beech (Fagus orientalis L.) and black poplar (Populusnigra L.) were heat-treated for 2 hours, 6 hours and 10 hours at130ºC, 165ºC and 200 ºC, bending and compression tests were carried out according to the TS 2474 and the TS 2595. Experimental results, as depending on the heat treatment time and temperature, increase the wood the color of the dark. While highest pressure resistance the value controls beech samples 70.94 (N/mm2) was obtained, the lowest value and 200 ° C, 10 h heat treated poplar wood in the 37,09 (N/mm2) was obtained. In addition to, highest bending strenght controls beech samples105,7 (N/mm2) was obtain, lowest value and 200 ° C, 10 h heat treated poplar wood in the 49,17 (N/mm2) was obtained. Based on this results, increas of heat treatment time and temperature, values of on the bending and pressure strenght can be said.
