Abstract :
In this study, a test unite for Equal Channel Angular Pressing (ECAP), which is widely used as one of the ultra fine grain production method in recent years, was constructed, made functioning and was applied to Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy as a modal material. After the optimization tests, it was seen that the most effective lubricant for the dies was MoS2, the die channel angle was 90o, pressing pressure was around 60-110 kg/mm2 and the pressing speed was 2 mm/s. By using the parameters above, Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy was successfully ECAPed up to 14 passes at 200 oC and using route C.
