Parents Effect and Children Choices in Buyıng of Children Furniture

In the present study, the questionnaire was applied face to face on 394 students whose ages from 7 -12 years old and their parents in Ankara. Aim of this investigation is to define the parent influences on selection of children furniture and determine choices of children about furniture colours and special patterns. Moreover, the demographic structures of families and their priorities about furniture selection were determined. Results of questionnaire show that furniture choices of families for children uses directly depend on their economical status with some other factors. And children furniture, using already and new ones, have no required condition in terms of ergonomically, physiologically and psychologically. The colour choices of children are shiny metallic colours and live colours especially orange. They choose clear bright in wood products.
