Abstract :
As a result of rapid consumption and burning of the fossil fuels, the environmental disasters directed humankind towards the new energy resources. This energy resource is mainly predicted to be the nuclear and the renewable energy resources. It is expected that the hydrogen energy one of the primary energy resources produced from nuclear energy is going to replace the fossil fuel systems. In this study, properties of hydrogen as a energy transporter were given and it was introduced that the most efficient and sustainable production can be obtained from nuclear energy by means of thermo-chemical cycles. It was realized that the most convenient type of nuclear reactors is the high temperature reactors and the most convenient thermo-chemical cycle used in this reactor is the sulphur-iodine cycle. As a result it was given suggestions in order to select the nuclear power based on hydrogen production.
