Title Of Article :
Determination of Sound Absorption Coefficient Values on The Laminated Panels
Abstract :
In this study, sound absorption coefficient values of laminated panels obtained from scotch pine (Pinussylvestris L.) as a coniferous tree, iroko (Chlorophoraexcelsa) as a tropic tree and Uludag fir (Abies Bornmülleriana Mattf.) as a middle layer material were determined by complying with the principles specified in TS EN ISO 354 (2007). In conclusion, sound absorption coefficient values of Scotch pine panels were found higher than sound absorption coefficient values of Iroko panels having a higher density. Moreover, it was also reported that flat panels obtain the highest sound absorption coefficient value in low frequency (160 – 200 Hz) while perforated panels obtain the highest sound absorption coefficient value in low frequency in medium frequencies (400 – 1000 Hz).
