Abstract :
This study aims to investigate the quality and standardization activities of firms on marketing in the Turkish Furniture Sector. For this purpose; a research survey has been applied to 51 medium and big scale firms, to the responsible employee of their quality, marketing and production units with random sampling to the furniture enterprises in Ankara, Bursa and Kayseri. According to research results, it has been found that firms have a quality assurance system certificate, establishing quality system-receiving quality certificate and/or in the dimension of marketing adapting related standards, improving export quality and providing continuity in quality, in terms of “standardization of products size and tolerance” compliance with international standards improving market share, in terms of marketing product design and production process “quality criteria being applied completely” reducing stock costs, product quality level affects marketing, in marketing competitive advantage taken by lower price products. Moreover, continues improvement on customers’ satisfaction for standards of firms can affect positively to the country economy.
