Abstract :
This study was planned as to the preferences of customers and managers Properties of the Color and Texture of External Architecture of Ankara hotels (1) The first part of the study was to customers. The color and texture of external architecture of Ankara hotels aimed to determine the preferences of color and texture features. As a methodology of the research, 30 hotels located in Çankaya and Altındag districts of Ankara, have been taken as samples, their inventories have been researched, their front facets are depicted and photographed. A survey was administered to the clients of these hotels and results thereof have been statistically analyzed. After scientific concepts in general, psychological and physiological influences, historical development and use of colors in architectural spaces are studied with sufficient details, use of the color and texture was studied in the examples of Ankara Hotels. As a result, it was observed that majority of the hotel clients attaches great importance to plain ornaments, color and texture properties in the external architecture of the hotel. It was also observed that in hotels plastic and metal joinery, prefabricated concrete, glass cladding systems are preferred and multicolor facets prevail.
