Real Time Test Bed for Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks
Abstract :
As a result of the wireless technology becoming widespread and the decrease in the cost of this technology, experiences which have been gained in this field have been reflected on the different fields. The field which is rising by virtue of the reflection of wireless technology on the overland transportation is called as Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks. Most of the studies on this field are carried by simulation studies. In this study, a test bed is developed for real-time application which is oriented to Vehicular Adhoc Networks. The hardware of the test bed which is developed is chosen by considering active safety applications. The software necessary for carrying out the test bed and enabling the hardware to operate in a coordinated way is developed. The test bed is installed on two vehicles so these vehicles are enabled to send and receive each other’s geographical location and dynamic data at navigation.
