Title Of Article :
Evaluation of Academic Research Projects Using AHP and TOPSIS Methods
Abstract :
When it is thought that human beings live in a world where resources are limited, the most effective and efficient way to distrib-ute resources becomes a major problem. Hence it is needed that academic research projects should be evaluated and selected in terms of their significance and qualifications. In the study, a new methodology which includes a combination of AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) and TOPSIS (Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) methods to evaluate academ-ic research projects is suggested. Firstly, the criteria that will be used in the evaluation are determined and then those criteria are sorted in terms of their importance by using AHP method. Sorted criteria are calculated to define the degree of importance of projects based on an example by using TOPSIS algorithms. After that data are analyzed by comparing in different aspects.
