Abstract :
In this study, aerodynamic forces which effect to a truck and trailer combinations were investigated with computational fluid me-chanics method. The force measurement were performed for the model truck trailer and aerodynamic drag coefficient (CD) was determined numerically in 4 different free flow velocity on the Fluent® program. Numerical analysis of flow were made on the 312 000 - 844 000 Reynolds number. The friction and pressure based drag force distributions were determined. A spoiler de-signed to improve the drag force for the base model. % 20,9 improvement obtained for the aerodynamic drag coefficient. The flow structure around the truck and trailer and pressure coefficient distributions.
