Abstract :
Earthquakes occurring in the soft ground conditions show that the soil medium alters substantially the dynamic behavior of the structure. In this study, the impedance functions are used for considering the dynamic structure-foundation-soil interaction. The seismic response of bridge footing-soil system is investigated depending on the foundation damping by taking into consideration of soil characteristics for Adapazarı region.
