Abstract :
In this article, different approaches about perception of woman and marriage in mystic tradition which constitute the esoteric/ inner dimension of Christianity and Islam will be discussed. The concept of woman has always occupied the agenda of both revealed or man-made religions and different philosophical schools. As a result of the socio cultural situation that religious people/believers live in, the customs, education and the traditional patriarchal family structure, it is an undeniable fact that the believers have incorrect perception of woman even if it does not arise from the origin of revealed religions. The purpose of this paper is to learn how the problem has been dealt with in primary sources of both religions and how it has been dwelt upon by sufis and mystics.
