The Situation of the Primary Education of the Sanjak of Mamuratulaziz in the 1916 Educational Inspections

Between 6 April 1916 and 23 June 1916 sixty one schools in the Sanjak of Mamuratulaziz was inspected by the Central Liva inspector of the primary schools. Then the inspector has sent his inspection reports to the Education Directorate of the province of Mamuratülaziz. These reports in the catalogue of Heyet-i Teftişiye of the Maarif Fonu in the Prime Ministry Ottoman Archives include important informations about the primary education in the Sanjak of the Mamuratulaziz in the First World War. In this study, it will be evaluated the datas relating to the education and instruction of the Mamuratulaziz by the inspection reports and the situation of the primary education in the region will be tried to determine by the viewpoints of the building, teacher and the quality of the education.
