Investigation of Self-Efficacy of Mathematical Literacy of Economic and Administrative Sciences Faculty Students
Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to investigate self-efficacy of mathematical literacy of Economic and Administrative Sciences Faculty students. Survey method was used in this study. Sample of the study consists of 250 students which were selected randomly from Eskişehir Osmangazi University in 2013-2014 education year. Data were collected by Özgen and Bindak’s (2008) Sel-Efficacy of Mathematics Literacy Scale. Data were analyzed by independent samples t-test and one-way ANOVA. As a result of this study, self-efficacy of mathematical literacy of that students was “middle” level, self-efficacy of mathematical literacy of boys, successfull students, Economy, Management and Finance department students, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade students higher than the others. Some proposals offered for developing self-efficacy of mathematical literacy of Economic and Administrative Sciences Faculty students.
