Abstract :
Global warming is a term used for rise in the temperature of earth surface due to emitted anthropogenic gases causing greenhouse effect. It is important to take some measures to decrease global warming as we are expecting to have the hottest summer of latest 150-year. Climate models used by Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change revealed that between 1990 and 2100 global surface temperature will increase at about 1.4-5.8 °C and due to this increase, changes in climate will continue. Temperature in Turkey is expected to increase 1-3 °C until year 2050. Greenhouse gases emitted from agriculture are factors contributing to global warming. In order to decrease greenhouse gases emitted from animal agriculture, as animal scientists we have duties to perform. Purpose of this study is to highlight effect of greenhouse gases in global warming and try to present measures can be taken for animal agriculture.
