Abstract :
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of different levels of threonine (0.81, 0.86,0.91%) and lysine (1.10, 1.16, 1.24%) supplementation to the diet on feed intake, body weight gain and feed conversion ratio of male broiler chicks and to evaluate threonine aminoacid requirements of chicks. Day old, seventy five Ross 308 male chicks were divided into five dietary treatment groups; chicks were placed in individual cages. In the experiment, threonine and lysine supplementation to the diet affected feed intake, body weight gain and feed conversion ratio statistically (P 0.05), threonine+lysine supplementation to the diet improved feed consumption and body weight gain but did not improved feed conversion ratio. It was found that threonine and lysine levels were lower than broiler chick’s requirements and also it was necessary to increase threonine and lysine levels in the broiler chick’s diets in the experiment.
