Title Of Article :
Propargite and Cyhexatin Sensitivity in Tetranychus urticae Koch. (Acarina: Tetranychidae) Populations Collected from Apple Orchards in Isparta
Abstract :
This study was conducted to determine the sensitivity against propargite and cyhexatin of 13 T urticae populations in apple orchards in and around Isparta. The province of Isparta has a suitable ecology and has an important potential in terms of apple breeding. Isparta produces 20% of the total apple production in Turkey. In the apple orchards, after apple codling moth, two spotted spider mites are the most important pests. In Isparta and around it, T. urticae is the most widespread species. T. urticae populations develop resistance against chemical because of short time generation. In this study, propargite from the group of sulphurous ones which has contact effect and cyhexatin from the group of organic tinneds were used. LC levels of populations of T. urticae were determinedby dry film method. Resistance ratios were calculated by proportioning the LC_50 and LC_90 levels of T.urticae populations to LC_50 and LC_90 levels of the sensitive population. The resistance ratios of T.urticae populations against cyhexatin changed between 1.24- 3.36 fold and against propargite it changed between from 1.23 to 3.18 fold according to at LC_50. The sensitivity level of IE13 population, against cyhexatin collected from Gelendost, was less than 1.
