Title Of Article :
Effects of Seed Priming and Nitrogen Doses on GrainYield and SomeYield Components of BreadWheat (Triticum aestivumL.) Varieties
Abstract :
Objective of this study was to investigate the effects of seed priming with gibberellic acid (control, purewater, 100 ve 200 ppm GA3) and nitrogen doses (0, 5, 10 ve 15 kg N/da) on grain yields and some yield components of bread wheat cultivars (Triticum aestivum L.) in field conditions. Aplication of nitrogen doses increased the per square meter‟ spike, plant height and grain yield when compared to control group. Seed priming application reduced the plant height when it was compared to the control group and did not effect on the others properties. When the investigated characteristics are evaluated generally, the dosages of 10 and 15 kg N/da had similar positive effects. When considering two years average, the highest grain yield (415.0 kg/da) was obtained from Bağcı-2002 cultivar with 15 kg of nitrogen dose and hydropriming aplication.
