Abstract :
This study was carried out under the ecological conditions of Ankara in 2011 and 2012 vegetation season. The experiment was established with the randomized complete block in a split plot design with three replications. Four (0, 3, 6 and 9 kg P2O5 kg /da) and five (0, 5, 10, 15 and 20 N kg/da) different doses of phosphorous and nitrogen were randomly applied to main and sub plots, respectively. The objective of this study was to determine the influence of different phosphorous and nitrogen doses on plant height (cm), the number of head per plant, 1000 seed weight (g), oil content (%) and seed yield (kg/da) in cephalaria. Mean data for plant height (cm), 1000 seed weight (g), number of head per plant, oil content (%) and seed yield (kg/da) were 101.4-179.3 cm. 32.8-44.5, 16.30-17.20 g, 19.72-20.60 % and 209.4-338.3 kg/da, respectively. The highest seed yield were recorded with N20 and P9 in 2010-2011 vegetation season. The highest seed yield were recorded with P6N10 and P9 N10 in 2011-2012 vegetation season. Mean data for crude oil ratio changed from 19.72 % to 20.60 % and the highest crude oil ratio was obtained from P9 treatment. The results of the study indicated that different phosphorous and nitrogen doses had an important effect on seed yield (kg/da) and oil content of cephalaria.
