Investigation of Different Approach for Estimating Greenhouse Heating Requirements
Abstract :
Increasing the yield of agriculture in per unit area is very important effort to meet growing world food requirements. One of the most important agriculture activities is to have greenhouse production throughout the year that can be kept under climate control condition. If greenhouses production is planned throughout the year, heating must be done in winter period. In this study, seven greenhouse were evaluated for heating requirements of different greenhouse types, materials and size based on Ankara climatic conditions. The greenhouses heating requirements were calculated according to ten researcher s approach and the obtained results are evaluated statistically. Consequently, the highest heat load from the researcher s approach no IX and lower heating load is obtained from the VI no researcher s approach. Values obtained from the approach of other researchers seem to be similar. Considering the greenhouse types and covering materials, the highest heating loads are obtained from the PE covered greenhouses.
