Prediction Soil Loses of Beyşehir Lake Watershed According To RUSSLE Method Using GIS and LANDSAT
Abstract :
In this study, soil losses were estimated according to RUSLE Method using by Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing Techniques and mapping for the Beysehir Lake Watershed. In this research, the basin area maps, a variety of research results, the reports, meteorological data, statistical information, Landsat - 5 TM satellite image and the data as a result of field studies were used. The necessary parameters for the method RUSLE was prepared as a raster data into thematic layers using ArcGIS software and it was interacted due to method. As a result, erosion was seen as a dangerous level approximately 85% of Beysehir Lake Watershed. According to erosion map, potential of annual total soil loss from Beysehir Lake Watershed was estimated as 360,490,81 tons.year-1, the annual average soil loss was also estimated 83.97 tons.ha-1.
