Determination of Performances of Some Dent Corn Genotypes in Cukurova Conditions

This research was conducted at three sub-region with different ecological condition in main crop growing season at the Cukurova Region in 2014. Experimental design was Completely Randomised Block Design (RBCD) with four replications. The main crop maize varieties used in the study and grain yield and some agronomic characteristics were examined. Cornvarieties were (Pasha, Frida (Progenseedcompany), 31P41, P1574,T83 (Pionerseedcompany), DKC 6589,DKC 6590, DKC 6717, DKC 6815(Monsan to seed company), Kalumet, Kopias, Kermes (Kws Turk company)) in this study. Significant differences were determined among trait sand cultivars in different ecological conditions. The highest grain yields were obtained from P 1574 (124,46 kg/ha) in Hatay, Kermes (159,36 kg/ha) in Karatas, and DKC 6589 (147,93 kg/ha) in Ceyhan. According to means of cultivars, the most stabil cultivars were DKC 6589 and Kermes in Cukurova region.
