Title Of Article :
INVESTIGATION OF ADSORPTION OF ETHYL BROMIDE ON SOIL AND KAOLINITE
شماره ركورد :

Abstract :
Brominated volatile organic compounds are pollutants creating environmental problem in soil. In this study, sorption of ethyl bromide in kaolinite and soil pellets were investigated by the one–sided single-pellet moment technique. Zeroth moments analysis of ethyl bromide on kaolinite and soil pellets showed the adsorption was reversible. Adsorption equilibrium constants of ethyl bromide in porous solids were calculated by the use of first absolute moment expressions derived for the pulse – response experiments. The adsorption equilibrium constants (ρpKi) of ethyl bromide on soil and kaolinite pellets were found as 3.81 and 1.68, respectively. The adsorption equilibrium constant of ethyl bromide in soil pellet was found to be greater than that in kaolinite pellet.
