  • Abstract
    This study examines the fiscal relation between the local Municipal and the central governments in Turkey which is a unitary state. It aims to find out the amount of the central revenue transfers to the municipal administrations, especially, the Municipality of Sanlıurfa. The research has indicated that the half of the fiscal resources of the municipal administrations comes from the transfers of the central governments. It has been underlined that although Şanlıurfa municipality received half of its revenue from the central government, it equals only to 0.4% out of total between 2006-2013, which is significantly lower than the other municipalities.
