THE EFFECT OF JOB EMBEDEDNESS ON EMPLOYEES QUALITY OF WORK LIFE AND QUALITY OF LIFE: THE ROLE OF OPTIMISM
Abstract :
The effects of job embeddedness on perception of work-life quality and life quality, the mediating role of optimism on this effect for employees who work in organizations was discussed in this paper. 292 employees who work in different sector in Kayseri was determined by convenience sampling method and according to research results; job embeddedness has statistically significant positive relation with perception of worklife quality and life quality, likewise optimism has positive relation with all other research variables. In other words job embeddedness improve the life quality and work-life quality of individuals. Through the analysis of the mediating role of opti-mism, it has a significant mediating effect in relationship between job embededness, worklife quality and life quality. In the research it was determined that the effect of job embeddedness on worklife quality is higher than life quality.
