THE EFECT OF PSYCHOLOGICAL CONTRACT PERCEPTION ON CYBERLOAFING BEHAVIORS
Abstract :
In today organizations, where effectiveness and efficiency decidedly has a vital importance, cyberloafing behaviors are one of the most important factors that affect these two concepts. In this context, the purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between psychological contract perception and cyberloafing behaviors. The data was gathered from 154 employees, who work in different sectors, by using convenient sampling method. Using explanatory factor analysis tested the construct validity of all constructs. Pearson correlation analysis and simple linear regression analysis were also used for testing covariance and causal relationships. Findings show that there is a significant and positive relationship between transactional psychological contract perception and serious cyberloafing behaviors that lead to financial and legal consequences for businesses. Mana-gerial and further research implications are provided.
