ACCORDING TO MENTOR TEACHERS THE GROUP OF SCHOOL EXPERIENCE COURSES AND TEACHER CANDIDATES
Abstract :
This study aimed to investigate mentors’ views about the process and practices of School Experience and Teaching Practice Courses. To end this, semi-structured interviews conducted with 6 mentors. Data were analyzed and interpreted by qualitative methods. Some of the most important findings of this study can be summarized as follows: The mentor teachers are willing to receive training about mentoring. They are not completely aware of the activities of the School Experience course. Mentoring is considered to be very useful by the mentors for professional development. Minimum of 6 teacher candidates is too high for a mentor to work with.
