Abstract
Providing quality assurance in higher education is one of the essential steps in the creation of European higher education area. As emphasized in Sorbonne and Bologna Declarations, developing quality standards will have an effective role in assuring the higher education to be provided more quality. In order to determine that education and teaching services to be done according to the related regulations and standards quality assurance or in other words accreditation procedures are needed. In this study, accreditation activities in higher education in Europe which have advanced especially after Bologna Process were stated; sample accreditation implementations in our country were mentioned.
