Abstract
In this study prospective primary school teachers’ attitude towards mathematics, mathematics selfefficacybeliefs, teacher self-efficacy beliefs, academic success are determined. Furthermore therelationships among these variables, whether or not they differ significantly with respect to gender andhigh school graduated are investigated. This study was descriptive; general survey design was used andquantitative techniques were used to gather, analyze and interpret the data. Pearson-r correlation showthat there is statistically significant relationship between attitude towards mathematics and mathematicsself-efficacy beliefs, between attitude towards mathematics and teacher self-efficacy beliefs and betweenteacher self-efficacy beliefs and mathematics self-efficacy beliefs. t- test shows that both male and femaleteacher candidates’ scores from these variables do not differ significantly. One way variance analysis(ANOVA) give among these dependent variables only attitude towards mathematics differ significantlywith respect to high school graduated.
