Abstract :
This study aims to determine the views of teachers to move to digital media of elementary schooltextbooks. In this study, qualitative research method and descriptive analysis technigue was used and thesemi-structured interview named Teacher Interview Form About Electronic Textbooks was applied to143 elementary classroom teachers in Uşak Province. The important part of participating teachers statethat transportation of textbooks to digital media in the near future is not possible and they don’t want toTeachers lack of easy adaptation to technological developments and show the difficulty of giving uphabits as reason for it. Teachers surveyed, the most important benefits of electronic textbooks, supportcourse content with voice and visualization, interactive training process to recognize opportunity, toprovide transition training without case, electronic books to be more attractive and appealing haveexpressed as to prevent the waste of paper. Teachers state that the important dissadvantages of elektronictextbooks are health threat (see, ortopedics, etc.), infrastructure and service deficiencies, decreasedclarity of reading issues and unreadiness of families.
