Abstract :
In recent years, when the news about the violence occurred in schools is investigated, the increase in the security problems at schools attracts people s attention. In order to turn the schools into safer places, it is very crucial to investigate this subject deeply and make academic works and assess the findings related with this issue. In this case, the purpose of this study is the investigation of the literature about the security problems faced with in schools in order to provide general knowledge and awareness about school safety and security. For this purpose, in this paper, the studies made in Turkey and abroad are investigated in terms of physical and psychological variables.
