Abstract :
In this study, the perceptions of organizational trust and job insecurity of middle school teachers working in public and private schools were determined, it is examined whether these perceptions differed according to some demographic characteristics and there was a meaningful relationship between organizational trust and job insecurity. According to the research findings middle school teachers working in public and private schools have low perceptions of job insecurity and high perceptions of organizational trust. The perceptions of job insecurity of middle school teachers working in public schools differ according to the number of teachers in the school and gender but they do not differ according to the marital status variable. The perceptions of job insecurity of middle school teachers working in private schools differ according to gender but they do not differ according to the number of teachers in school and marital status variables. The perceptions of organizational trust of middle school teachers working in public schools differ according to the marital status and the number of teachers in the school but they do not differ according to the gender variable. The perceptions of organizational trust of middle school teachers working in private schools don’t change according to these demographic variables. On the other hand, teachers working in public schools feel more job insecurity than teachers working in private schools and have less sense of organizational trust.
