Abstract :
In the presented article, it has been mentioned the dream motif and its functions. The factors that make dreaming and aesthetic converge are symbol, image and emergence of subconscious. In accordance with all these, dreaming is an artistic means frequently referenced by various writers. In the article, the dream motif in the novels of İsmail Şıhlı (Deli Kür, Ölen Dünyam) and Yusif Semedoglu (Qetl Günü) are made use of as a real material, and the importance of this motif has been determined in those unique works
